Directory of Researchers and Experts in Latin America and the Caribbean

ESPAÑOL / PORTUGUÊS

PGU-LAC/Habitat, PPPUE/UNDP and EMS/IDRC are preparing a directory of researchers and experts in public-private association mechanisms in urban environmental management.

This Directory will represent a means to facilitate the dissemination of information on this research programme and it will also enhance the possibilities for researchers and experts to participate in new programmes and projects at the regional level.

The Directory will be promoted at the regional and international levels and will be freely accessed at the research programme website on Public-Private Partnerships in Urban Environmental Management, under the responsibility of the previously mentioned institutions.

The research fields --of interest for researchers and experts in such Directory-- are the provision of services in terms of:

-   water and sanitation

-  management of urban and/or hazardous waste integrated to the urban system

The expertise sought focuses on the approach to design, analysis and evolution of models for the provision of services by:

-    community organizations together with the public sector,

-    organizations that coordinate their investments with the public sector in poor neighbourhoods

To join the Directory it is necessary to fill out a brief form with personal information.

Those who are interested may also send their CVs in Word (.doc)  or Wordperfect (.wpd) format.  The CV can be sent after the form and should not exceed 7 pages.  The CVs will constitute a free access database on researchers and experts at the regional level.
