Rui De Carvalho, M.Eng, P.Eng., President, effective September 1, 2000.

Robert (Bob) J. Burnside, M.Sc., P.Eng., President and Founder, becomes Chairman of the Board and will continue to be active in the company, with a particular focus on business development.

Rui De Carvalho joined the Burnside team in 1977. As a Senior Manager of R. J. Burnside & Associates Limited and R. J. Burnside International Limited, Rui has gained broad experience in the management and business development functions of a private sector technical services organization.

Additionally, Rui has had extensive involvement in project management, water resources planning and environmental engineering. These qualities, combined with his active community involvement and strong relationship with our staff will provide a solid foundation for his new role.
